Acceptance...

I poo poo this city I live in often. I come from a much bigger town so this little town doesn't have all the perks. I really get annoyed as to what I feel like are small town politics as well. I think though, its finally time to end that...I don't even know where all the hate comes from. I have an awesome job here (awesome for dman near anywhere in the country), I know nothing but great people here...and my daughter seems happy to be here. So I think its finally time to accept that I am now an official resident, damn near born and bred here. Its alright by me, sun, good community...surrounded by knowledge its pretty good. Oh and to my sister, another plus is, its not Houston :P

It took a few years to grow on me, but I 3 Las Cruces. It's as good as you want it to be, like most things in life!

LOL I figured it out, and yes it grows on you after a while.
Acceptance...such a loaded word and so many sentiments/feelings attached to it...acceptance, to me, also means forgiveness and it sounds that maybe a part of you has done that. I know you know what I mean :) Good to read you once again.
I too have come to accept this town. To me this town was to sling shot me on to ???? I have met some great friends here and as a old man, this town offers a lot to senior citizens also. I met a friend just last week that will move back to this town. He has lived all over the world and he moved to Illinois a year ago. He said that there is no other place like this town because of the senior activities. Glad you have accepted this town too.
