Finally Apple has done it, they announced a SDK for the Apple iPhone (and also for apples iTouch). What is an sdk to my non-techie readers, it stands for "Software Development Kit". Basically its a bunch of programs that allow a developer (me) to write programs and software for a device (iPhone/iTouch). Why is this a big deal? Cause it allows most ANY developer (not a big famous/rich/powerful) one to write software for these devices. The software(s) I plan to write, why they will be photographically related of course! Or I might go back to my roots and build some video games for your iPhone or iTouch (mobile gaming is where I got my game programming start professionally speaking) so who knows, the kit doesn't come out till feb but the knowledge that it is coming is a glorious thing.

Every so often I get to make it to a Liquid Cheese concert. Live music is awesome, live music with brass section is even cooler. I recommend to anyone who reads this to check out the site, find the music, download the songs where they can and try something new. Particularly I would like to recommend the song "shuffle"

Entry: Color Portrait:
Result: Honorable Mention
My take: I like this portrait a lot, in retrospect I shouldn't of cropped it to do an 8x10 print. I had this distinct feeling the smaller prints at the fair didn't uh "fair" so well.
Entry: Black and White portrait.
Result: Nothing
My Take: One of my all time favorite portraits I took, that looked great in black and white, and nothing go figure.
Entry: Color Landscape.
Result: Sixth Place Premium (whatever that is)
My Take: This image has one some other accolades and technically is a perfect picture I would say, it was printed on 8x12 full frame print and matted. I am shocked it didn't do better, but since it did well in other areas in other "competitions" i'm not to upset
Entry: Black and White landscape
Result: Fifth Place (my highest rating)
My Take: I am shocked, this was my last minute, "why the hell not" shot to submit, its technically "bad" as it should of used a graduated filter to make the sky match the ground in exposure better. I am shocked.
So there you have it, how I scored at the souther New Mexico state fair. It was all on a whim, so I am pretty happy with the results. Though I have to say, 12$ to get into the fair (more expensive than the main state fair in abq) is just insane.

So ends another day, though one where I supposedly am a year older, and a year wiser. I have to say for a b-day it was a damn busy one. I got a few images mounted that I entered in the fair, this was a huge hassle as I rarely print or mount my images. Though its sorta amazing seeing in physical form the images I have taken. What a day, halo3, got some negatives processed, got my yard cleared, got some photographic materials, and saw "the Unit"''s season premier tonight in HD. Ohhh life is beautiful. Though the halo3 I could go on about all day, though id like to say one thing about the unit. Awesome show, but they changed for this season the intro song and it sucks, so much so I actually submitted feedback to CBS:
